Airbag light

A couple of weeks ago I got the dreaded airbag light on the dash, as the van is out of warranty I know of the horrendous costs some have been quoted to have it replaced having done the usual google searches, however came across a crowd called Crashdata who reset the ecu at a fraction of the cost. Now some may say you can’t mess around with that it controls the airbags, but my error came from a low battery voltage not crash related so decided to send it off, sent it on a Friday and Monday afternoon got a message to say it was on its way back. It arrived on Tuesday along with a print out of the before and after codes.

Fantastic service and easy to sort yourself at a fraction of the replacement cost at a dealer.

Good stuff John, the main dealers probably send defective ecu’s to Crashdata themselves.
I had the same problem a few years ago with a trooper a day or two before a test, I googled the problem and it was a common issue with them, the cure was to shake the wiring loom at a connection under the passenger seat, the problem was a bad connection. God be with those days, things were so simple for a diy repair.

They are based in Liverpool, on their website it looks like they do every imaginable ecu.

This apparently a very common problem with Motorhomes

Great information, you could maybe add to it and post the website address.
