Does anyone know how expensive it is to get a van resprayed and would you have recommendations?

Also just wondering has anyone ever sprayed painted their van themselves?

Geri....It depend's on the quality of finish you want? For your particular van I'd say anywhere from a grand for a quick rubdown and paint ( It wont be buffed out either at that price, You will see dust nibs and orange peel etc ) A few grand will get you a quality paint job. You also have to factor in any rust or rot issues that might require welding and bodywork before paint that will cost extra.....I suggest you go get a few quotes locally....You can only get an accurate price by someone physically looking at the van... Best of luck

Hi Alley thanks I have been in touch with him. There's so much needs to be done in my van and I would love to more or less gut it out and refurbish the living area but I don't know if it would be worth it.
It's a 1996 transit every time I wash it I. find more rust around the cab area. I am going to stop washing it!
I was very heartened at the Cork meet and got lots of advice and felt it was not that bad. I worry though about investing money into it and waking up some morning and it laying in bits outside my door.

I don't think I've ever seen your van?

It's never as bad as it seems (usually), I am sure Derek can get a quick look this weekend, he is the man to advise on wether you throw money at it or cut your losses.

Fingers crossed it's all fixable.

It is just a transit convert. I think I bought it on the basis of the ohh what a cute oven. Which I never use. A bit of an optimistic whimsical moment.
I am sure people in here think my head is cut I blow hot and cold about it. I think it would be good to get that sort of advice. I think I have a mini panic moment with each new issue.
But I have realised your have to be practical person to own something like a van. I can't even change a light 💡
