Lets have all your Do's and Don'ts when parking, I'll then create a guide for all Motorhome owners.

If you just add....................... example.....

Do:

Do - park inside a parking bay when you can
Do - think of others when parking
Do - run a generator only if absolutely necessary (medical reasons) and only during the day.
Do - Always use the farthest bays from the entrance of the car park
If you have to take up two spaces then put two tickets on your windscreen.
Where possible leave parking car spaces in front of you, that way everyone can enjoy the view.
When arriving late or leaving early don’t faff about, drive straight in/out
Do respect the the local community and the environment
Always try a spend a few quid in the village or town and try and make sure you tell them you're staying in a Motorhome.

Don't:

Don't Park across bays unless you are in a very large car park and have no option, then only for a short time.
Don't cause an obstruction
Don't leave rubbish behind, even in public bins, if possible.
Don't leave your engine running when parked in close proximity to anybody.
Don't squeeze in
Dispose of grey water... unless facilities are provided.
Don’t put out tables/chairs other than on a campsite where permitted.
Don't empty the toilet cassette anywhere other than a proper disposal point.
Try not to park with Hab door to Hab door / sliding door ( vans )
Don't carry on a loud conversation with someone inside the van while you are outside the van (very rude)
If you are a dog lover don't assume everybody else is, keep them on a lead in your own pitch.
If on hook up for lecky and/Or water, turn them of when you leave your MH, not nice coming back to water running down the step or some fault blowing something.

I'll add them here to post one.

Debatable that one :)

Only run it if absolutely necessary and only during the day.

Don't squeeze in. If you see a parking area packed with motorhomes, consider moving on to a quieter spot.

Don't know if I would subscribe to this one anymore. We used to do this until this summer in France. Parked at the back of a carpark when we went to an aquatic centre in La Mans came back to our van to find the furthest habitation window had been popped open the rollerblind slashed and the cab of the van ransacked. Nice sunglasses and headphones stolen.
Luckily they didn't find the electronics or wallets or spot the 5k+ of mountain bikes in the garage and the new window parts were relatively easy to source in France.

Don't think it would have happened if we had parked closer with all the other cars.

It’s ok saying that if you’re only away for a day or too , try storing waste when you’re on the road for a week or two. If there are bins use them.

Don't hog the service bay (probably comes under obstruction but needs calling out separately)

Do check the surface you are parked on and be mindful of what it would be like if it were to rain for the next 12 hours, same applies to the access road including slopes.
Don’t park near bins, glass recycling ones in particular when abroad they get emptied at all hours day and night.
From personal experience I try not to park next to “sliders” panel vans with sliding doors they can be noisy at night and first thing in the morning.
Don’t park anywhere there is broken glass or lots of graffiti or obvious criminal damage or excessive litter.
I try not to park near the service point, it can be noisy and smelly and some people really shouldn’t be driving MHs and are woeful at manoeuvring.
If I wild camp I will not obscure any nice views a residential property has.

Don’t have your TV or radio too loud and obviously don’t hang any washing or towels out on your bike rack! I’ve seen that in the middle of Bray before.

Tbh.
I hadn't considered the security side of things.
Too often, I have see wagons parked up too near entrances and exits of carparks and end up being a nuisance to the general public moving in and out.
Nothing like a discussion

For those with young kids on board, only 2, types of footwear needed.
Wellies and crocs.
In fact, holidaying in Ireland, the same is needed for adults.
