Drove our Motorhome two hours tonight in the dark. Oh it was weird after all those light nights.

A shower of rain hit the windscreen like someone had just turned on a hose!

This was a wee test topic to make sure a new topic made it to here:

https://motorhomeireland.com/

It worked.

Sorry for rambling 😁 still a true story though.

When finished it'll be an extendable platform for my racing pigeons. Let them go, slide it back in and drive home.

Deadly.

Final coat of paint on. Anti pigeon dust paint, they are sore on the asthma.

The top half was made a few weeks back, it folds up and goes in the garage.

That ‘tow bar’ will double the weight of your van? Can’t be.

Dunno what your cattle are like where you live!?

I was sick of losing so many pigeons. Last time I let them go when away in the van, I lost more before I got there than I did receiving them.

This will allow me to bring my full flight, those that are ready, and let them go safely.

I think it’s going to be a room especially for his two dogs (plus him when he has one too many cans) as well as a launch/travel unit for his pigeons

Looks like an expensive undertaking. Will it affect your rear axle weight much. Half thinking of getting a tow bar too

Chassis stops short 5 feet from the back, so no pigeons, a chassis extension had to be made to fix on a tow ball!

The garage floor is lower than the chassis so that had to be worked around. You can see from the above drawing and the welding photos above what we did.

A lot of work for a tow bar, but I have things to tow!

I wouldn't think it would have much affect, I do plan to get the the weight uprated though as it's a big van for 3.5 tonne.
