We have been to Killough earlier in the summer and stayed at Coney Island caravan Park which was fine. We went again last night and were advised it would be fine to stay in the town car park. Three campervans. We were going to the Anchor Bar to listen to music. The carpark is surrounded by houses situated on their Main Street. We got back to the vans to find two of them were vandalised. They ripped off our windscreen wiper arms. Ripped clean off . We phoned the police they came out from Downpatrick. Pub across from the carpark has cctv but I doubt anything will come of it. Just be careful where you wild camp. It seemed a quiet safe place but obviously not.

Bad form. Sorry to hear of such vandalism and feel for the owners. Hope it isn’t reminiscent of the townspeople feeling towards motorhomes, I don’t think it would be ....... rather an opportunistic attack by yobs who think it’s a clever thing to do.

They didn’t touch the expensive vw transporter which was first in line, English Reg. She has a dash cam (not connected) but also more likely to have a noisy alarm.

Pretty shitty carry on.

I park up overnight in Bray from time to time. I am always happiest if there's a bit of permadrizzle which keeps idle hands indoors.

I know what needs to be done with them but it’s not repeatable here. The problem is they just get off with it. The law is an arse if you caught them in the act and kicked the sh*t out of them you would end up in prison.

Hi guys

Sorry to hear about your rather disappointing visit to Killough. I can say that whilst now retired, when I was working I had numerous bad experiences when in the village over the years and would be happy to drive through it but I wouldn't consider spending any time parked up in it. What else can I say other than it has a road to somewhere else running through it.

Sorry Killough.
