I see it’s 6amp supplies. Just as well you don’t need the heating

We only ever had 6amp here. Stopped people heating their vans and made them use their gas, it was only for Lights, fridge, charging, light stuff. At £10 a night there wasn't much point in letting them heat their vans on leccy!

True. I have spent some time in Germany and seen quite a lot of sites with 10 and even 16 amps quite regularly. It’s been a while though

Yeah 6 amp supply is a basic pitch.
A comfort pitch is 10amps.
While a delux pitch is full ehu, and may have your own toilet cabin.
Obviously the cost rises with the standard of pitch.
The only guys that I see using the 16 amps are those with air con.

Air con doesn't use that much power I've had it on in normal pitches, I can't remember the figures it uses but I think it's about 1kw, electric kettle's, hair drying and heating in the colder months are the real guzzlers

In Koblenz, our Norwegian neighbour, new caravan was tripping the 6 amp breaker. The site maintenance guy, was to unplug the caravan, because he deemed it dangerous and deny ehu to the family.
The manual of the caravan was in English, so I was given it to read.
On the digital control panel, there was a setting, 1 Kw / 2Kw or 2.5 Kw, for the maximum ehu load.
After selecting the 1 Kw load setting, the caravan operated as normal, its control panel managed the difference appliances.

The air con on our two RVs used 4KW iirc.

That's why it was exported to the UK because it didn't use 8 kW 😁😂
