She's had no choice over the years!! - she does enjoy His Music, nearly keeps up with me on lyrics except for the more obscure ones. I f more company hadn't joined us that time, we'd still be there :)

Sonny said once: . It strikes me as how fortunate I am to have been a part of that, and to have known Buddy. You know, I really wonder from time to time if I'd amounted to anything if I hadn't crossed paths with Buddy. He was a giant catalyst for a whole bunch of stuff!!

Buddy Holly and Sonny Curtis.

Blown away! What a program, very emotional for me. Feck that was good!!

On a side note, I never appreciated the Picks backing, always liked the original recordings.

Yep....Me too Ally/ The Nashville Sessions is a superb album in my opinion....Even with the first That'll be the day recorcording in a higher pitch....Love the rawness. From the moment I was born I was exposed to Buddy's ,music....My Da would play his album's non stop....Glad he did!

Great programme...Thanks for the heads up

Agree, the Picks irate me, although they were warranted by Buddy which I wasn't aware off for a long time.

I'm going to get all my vinyl out tomorrow, photograph it and post here.

Loving this topic even if it's so far away from Motorhoming as you could possibly get 😁

Playing The Chirping Crickets album right now.

Watched some Orbinson, was never a fan, recording rest for tomorrow.

I'm kinda leaning to the fact that it was recorded at Buddy's end of the line...His voice was clearer and louder...

Indeed, sadly when I first wanted to visit Lubbock, all Buddy's family were still alive, even his parents. I'm nearly scared on some of the group's I'm on to ask who is dead or alive.

Brings me to my next question...... Four of us, Lubbock, 2021?

Oh jaysus now you're talking, I looked at the logistics of taking in Clearwater Iowa and visiting the crash site, but it was years ago.

If we're gonna do it, we need to do it all. I've some great contacts that part of the world, so I can look into it.

Maybe you know?

From a driving and renting a RV point of view it's a piece of Cake....Roads are superb and you can cover huge distances per day....I drove from Rapid city, South Dakota to Cocoa, Florida in 3 days..... I had a 1984 Champion RV....7.4 petrol and 28 ft long...It looked small compared to most of the other RV's there o.O Also.....Motels are dirt cheap and plentiful.

I brought Mirela to the US in 2009 and have not been back since....She would love to go back....She loved it there!
