Puncture free tyres

I noticed mention of spare tyres in another post and thought I would ask about this.

When we got our motorhome it had Ultraseal in the tyres. I think it was done by these guys http://www.flatfreetyres.co.uk/

I can see how it is a great idea as we have not had any need to change a puncture.

Has anyone else used this?

Sounds like good stuff Mark. Why is a large Van £55 and a camper £65, the tyre size should be the same?

Good question

No idea as it was already done to my van.

Might be something to do with the motorhome tyres having more ply. Maybe it takes more sealant for the camper specific tyre.

Or, maybe motorhome owners have more money then van drivers ! LOL

Have done some checking on the web and it seems to get positive reviews for the most part. There is a place in Cork that install it, also used in motorbikes, will check that out too and let you know why the difference in van prices.

I think that the £55 would be better spent on AA or RAC membership, 8 ply tyres are nearly bullet proof and since most motorhome tyres die of old age long before they wearout that means that there is always plenty of "beef" on them and any failure is likely to be in the sidewall where no amount of gunk will save you!

Very true ramondo. Motorhome tyre tread always lasts longer than the walls.

Both, breakdown cover and tyre sealant would be even better.

I can't help imagining what I.would be thinking about it if we got a puncture on a French country road in the rain.

i have used ultraseal in motor bike tyres for years & found it great stuff.
i never got a puncture & it made no difference to the handling of the bike.
