Hey all! A very quick one and I think I know the answer.... If a van is bought from a garage in the UK for and vrt is doen etc for ROI, does the new owner still need to cvrt it?

The NCT regulations have been changed whereby a vehicle that has a valid MOT or equivalent from another EU country will be issued an NCT cert until the expiration date of the MOT. I assume the CVRT is subject to the same EU directives.

Why on earth would you think that? this is Ireland.
Think! VRT -- Insurance -- import duties -- Free movement. :-/

i have just finished the paperwork process and i got the previous owner to do a new mot so when i got it back i got a swap for whats called an eu recognition cert for the year! its in since 2018 google mutual recognition cert

Yes, transferable now. Got one on an L200 crewcab from NI and now recognized until it’s expiry date. No need to test it in ROI.

It's a 2003 benimar 6000 St-l on a ducato with the 2.8jtd!

Comes with a boot load of extras! Have to get vrt done so won't take delivery for 3-4 weeks, but we're in no panic!
