Oyster 1 pacemaker (wedgeshaped) box update

My last post on this was back in June after which I sent the box to Oyster for an update (£56) . It came back and worked for few days then as before couldn't find the satellites. Sent it back to Oyster again who reprogrammed again(free)but said that something in the van was knocking the programme out. Sure enough within a few days it once again couldn't find the satellites. Just back from a month in France , wonderful, but without T.V. So, question is , is there anyone in N.I. who might be able to fix this as i am loathe to spend £800 on a Vision 2 box which was the other alternative offered.

Same thought here.
If Simon can't sort it I will be surprised.

Make sure you mention this website when you speak to Simon at LTS .

Hi, Will your Oyster still auto align with Astra 1 ?
If so, you could do the same as I do, by auto selecting Astra 1 and then going into manual mode, click approx 10 times on the arrow taking the dish more towards the east, and then about 6 clicks on the down arrow.

I too am not prepared to buy the Vision 2 control box from a company that has decided to dump us. There is not even a guarantee that they will continue to support Vision 2, in the future.

My solution might sound complicated, but after doing it a few times, it becomes quite easy.
In my own case, I've installed a sat finder, which always ensures the best signal.
