Is this a special offer from Nutt Travel or is it from the ferry company and thus available anyway?

Bit of both, but if you are clever you get further discounts with Nutt.

i got a quote on Liverpool -Belfast for Sept and they quoted £252 flexy ,£316 direct with Stenna .I have spent all yesterday looking at options, from Liverpool-Dublin with P&O and Seatruck (both 8 hour with meals) ,going up to Scotland for the Cairnryan-Larne and the Holyhead routes . Even looking at Tesco vouchers (i only have £100 worth ) but the prices inflate when you use these so not worh it. Opted in the end for Irish ferries at £219.75 return with the 25% discount which ended last night.

It really pays to join the Stena club and collect their points, I got a return crossing to Scotland for £70 in 2015.
