Last week, while getting a box of ibuprofen and codeine, there was the usual list of questions to be answered.
Who is it for?
What is it for?
Any underlying conditions?
And so on.

After answering all correctly and the box is produced over the counter, the pharmacist mades an statement along the lines of, " if a person takes the max recommended dose per day, they can be more likely to fail a roadside drugs test."
I have no knowledge of a roadside drug test and can only assume that the codeine must have a similar marker to other drugs.
Any thoughts.

Rumour has it that the little sachets of vinegar from take aways are being used to give a negative ph balance and fool the test, don't know for certain how true this is .....

Codeine and Morphine are both opiates, Codeine can be made from Morphine so I guess the RDT that looks for opiates could pick up Codeine as well as Morphine.
I'd say you would want a fairly decent amount of Codeine to give a reading though. Solpadeine plus is 8mg per tablet
The recommended dose is 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hrs @ 3-4 times per day.
