Freeview is for uk channels like bbc, etc.
Saor view is the irish setup. You need to check if your tv can get saorview .
The tried and tested ariel is a standard chimney about €20. Mount it on a long brush handle and cable tie the handle onto your bike rack.
I am wondering if the product that you have mentioned, if it is a signal booster not an ariel.

I found a similar aerial as in post1 pretty rubbish. Even though at the time folk were raving about them.

If your fitting the telly on orders You'd better get it right no good to have a poor signal first time out I'd not bother with any thing less than THIS

You wouldn't want all signal and no sound :D

Not cheap but this is the only one that seems to get consistent reviews and comes with a booster

I have that one for when I can’t get satellite. Don’t use it often, but seems to work fine most places. Just remember it has an amplifier which uses power too from your battery

Hi, I have the one from the OP. Seems to work fine for me but is very dependent on where you are!
The one I got has only a 2mtr or so cable so I wasn’t able to attach it to the outside of the van which should give an even better signal when attached with the magnetic base. (I might try to chop the cable and extend it🤔)
The TV I have (Android Smart TV) picks up both saorview and freeview using this aerial. (I think all new TVs pick up both these days)

Haha, yeah I guess so.
The list of stations you pick up can sometimes be up and down like a person of ill reputes under garments! 😀
Thinking of getting a proper roof aerial at some stage. Seems to be the best solution.
