‘This was a great result...’

Is that a joke?! The couple are out of pocket €17k; the man is fined and has to pay legal fees. He still probably profited from the sale?! Or did I miss something?

I would say that the moral of this storey is,always check the background of the dealer that you are considering dealing with before you give them your hard earned cash.
Some of them turn into barstewrts afterwards.

I wont be buying a van for a long time (hopefully), but I know if I was buying a van in Ireland it would be one of two dealers ONLY, well one really as the other is too far. Donagheys or Anchorpoint, they are the two dealers I hear nothing but praise for.

Now some might say "that's because they advertise on Motorhomecraic" - I might reply............ "think about it."

Pat Horan Motors are a good straight honest family firm to deal with and in my opinion completely trustworthy. I’ve found them excellent on every count.

Maybe, I'm too trusting but most stand alone mh dealers are a fair bunch to deal with. By stand alone, I mean that only trade in mh sales and repairs. Over the years there have became experts with all parts of a mh.
There are outfits out there who sell mh as part of a car business, and I am of the opinion that these guy do not understand the house bit.
Avoid mh rental companies who are selling their fleet. You are only buying someone else's mistakes.

My thoughts as well Jack I've dealt with them for a few years now and after previously dealing with others I have to say that everyone at Pat Horans is great.

From that I’ll take it it, that you may have reservations.
I too could sing the praises of where I purchased, but a couple of years down the road, I can say I feel I got roasted on a recent issue. It doesn’t stop me recommending my crowd. Just, like everyone, they are in business to make money. But just cos they were sound when you bought, won’t stop them making a killling when you need something, down the line

The way that I look at this is that no dealer or anyone else will offer an neverending warranty,it is the way that they react to your problems that counts.

No complaints from me David, regarding to the quality of workmanship on the work I asked them to do and the work I didn’t ask them to do. I only ever used them once, and that was years ago. Pity they don’t quote prices for routine work like the fitting of timing belts etc.
