Camac valley Dublin, owned by South Dublin council, but leased to an operator.
Both Curraghchase, Co Limerick and lough key forest park, co Silgo, are collite owned but again are leased out to operators.
Ferrycarrig in Wexford town is council owned.
I also suspect that Rosses point and Strandhill in Co Silgo is based on a council lease.

And Portumna..

Portumna is NOT a campsite.
It is a marina with allocated motorhome over night parking.
Behaviour like put out awnings, tables, deck chairs, washing lines is strictly forbidden in Portumna.

My query was a general one.
As in....Somewhere to stop overnight with EHU.
I was.nt inferring that Portumna WAS a campsite.
It is a council run site.

If you wish to be pedantic the marina is run by Waterways Ireland and is used by boats.
The council run site is for Motorhomes and campervans.

Have you any council run sites or stopovers with EHU to add to this post?
