Anyone know what the story is with Faughart motorhome parking? It's sort of in the middle of nowhere and not being used. Who created it?

Yeah was wondering similar. We followed sign from roundabout out of curiosity. As you say it's isolated and unused.

Got it on the APP, north of Dundalk just before the border.....from satellite view looks like there was parking for 7 vans, looks like a bit of effort put in to getting it set up too. A water tap would have left it a useful little setup...... pity when someone went to the trouble of setting it up that it is going to waste.
Just checked the Louth County council planning maps, nothing mentioning it so more than likely a private initiative

I think the man that ownes the aire lives in one of the houses across the road from it. He owned a motorhome at one time don't know if he still does, think aire was part of safe nights ireland.
