We did a couple of years ago, I wouldn't say you save very much time if you're going north.

It really depends on what time of day and where are you going towards. M50
Ordinary time early morning or late evening/night , Airport to J11 on N11 is 40 min to 1hr.
4 to 6 in the day very long delays, all afternoon Friday's
I never use the Tunnel,I always go around it but I know Dublin.

M50 from top to bottom is about 30 minutes outside of peak traffic in either direction.

If you are using the tunnel for M1 to N/M 11 you have 2 tolls and plenty of traffic from Loughlinstown to / from the East Link.

We use the Dublin Port tunnel, depends time on day and direction as normally €3 ( but can be €10 at busy time, think Mon to Fri.)
We just feel it cuts out traffic lights, slower traffic.
M50 you have to remember to pay the toll before 8pm next day (might forget) unless you have toll tag. Motorhome same price as car.
M50 running into N11/M11, traffic always seems heavy early afternoon ( around Bray) not sure if it improves as you get further south.

The port tunnel.is ideal if youre only going to dublin port from the m1, or vice versa.

Otherwise I would use m50 unless it's at peak times. But then again peak times are busy for east link and getting to n11 if going on South.

Am heading to cork thought it might cut out a few miles and able to pay the toll at the end will de going through it around 11.00 or 12.00 so 3.00 Euro would be the charge

You might be saving a little on mileage but M1 / M50 / N7 is the quickest by far.

What route were you planning on talking. Are you going to stop somewhere on the way.

If its the N7 I would think the Tunnel would be a nightmare. The very reason the Tunnel was built was to help the traffic get out of Dublin towards the N4. N7 and N11 by sending it back towards the airport and around the M50 and not out by the Key's, the Canal to N 4/N7 and trough Stillorgan or Blackrock to the N11

Am heading to cork

You definitely don't use the tunnel on route to Cork ,M50 ,N7,M7 and M8 ,,
3 tolls of 3.10 /1.90 and 1.90 each way
