small inverter 150w

i have bought my wife an elecric bike.
it has 24v battery and the electric charger states it uses 75 watts at 240v to charge.
would i therefore be able to buy a 150w inverter to charge?
i intend to only use the inverter as i am driving although there should be no problem using the leisure batterries due to the small amount of power used.

anyone else using something similar to charge devices or powered wheelchair perhaps?

yes, in some reviews it was stated there was radio interference etc.
it would only be used occassionaly as the batterry will last a normal weekends trip for her(about 300 yards lol)
just if i was away for longer or forgot to charge before i left it would suffice.
even if there was a heavier start up load it should fall below the capacity of the inverter.

looks like im getting one tomorrow then.(germany on thurs for 2 weeks)

bought a 150 w inverter, the type sits in cupholder and plugs into cig lighter

put bike batterry on charge, worked perfectly, only drawing about 6 amps from batterry when charging, prob about 80 watts,

job done !

Before you buy, have you at least 200ah of good condition battery power and a couple of hundred watts of solar panels.
Pulling a 175 ah load from your batteries will make short work of them without significant recharging capability.

A 'small' inverter, a 400 or 500 watt, will do for tv's, games, sat boxes, and small kitchen appliances (whisks, mixers, blenders, etc), even a 150watt will cover modern efficient AV stuff (a 19" LED flat screen and Sat box will only require about 70 or 80 watts, possibly less).
The next step up would be toasters, microwaves, hair dryers, etc. but for that stuff you really need mains connection either generator/ehu or an inverter greater than 1000watts plus big lot of solar and batteries.

This is something I have been considering for a while.

We have 2x elecsol 110amp batteries and a 120 watt solar panel and want to run my espresso machine which is 1260 watt.
I think I would need a fairly hefty inverter as the initial power required when switching on would be quite a lot.

Mark I had the same problem when getting my van built. The 2000 watt inverter was the size of a childs suitcase and would have flattened the leisure battery in minutes. The only solution was to run the coffee machine off a generator (mine is 1600 watts) which is what I do.

Lol...actually mine runs off the gas so there is no petrol required or fumes inside the van and of course less weight. Weird Viktor likes his coffee and is very grumpy if he doesn't get the coffee he really wants

I have just bought a ring 150w I think this is enough to run tv. I have an on board gen. running on gas for anything heavier, so if Mark brings his espresso machine I will make him coffee for £5 per cup.
