Parking near Waterford Greenway July 2018

Good evening everybody.

Two adults need to fetch up in Kilmacthomas Co. Waterford for a mid-day family function on 11th July.

Have looked at Annamult and Harney's Cross.

They seem reasonably close but does anybody have any experience of needing to book at this probably busy time or even a spot of off-piste overnight?

We propose touring around and are flexible but slightly concerned if we should book ahead.

Have a compact 2 Berth Coacbuilt which will slot in almost anywhere; dreaded height barriers permitting.

Thanks for all replies and I do have the most excellent App.

We pulled into Kilmacthomas, 2 weeks ago while on our way to Dick's field. The reason behind this way to see if it would be a suitable winter stop .
As your enter the village from the N25, you will see an old stone 18th century 3 storey building across the river. This was an old woollen mill, long abandoned. Currently the front area is a tarred carpark for accessing the greenway but it is a bit of a slope. However there is a gravel lane down the riverside will level parking for about a half dozen mh at the other end. There is no signage or height barriers around at all.
Hopes this helps.

I have in mind someone said you could park in the workhouses café carpark.
It would be worth giving them a call.

We were in Kilmacthomas last week. There's a car park for the greenway up behind the Centra. Ours is a largish 6 berth coachbuilt and no issues. Looks like a community centre.

Failing that look for Durrow, Co Waterford about midway between KIlmac and Dungarvan. Again look for the greenway car park. There's a pub there and shop and toilets for greenway users. Ask in the pub.

Try under Waterford greenway. It goes all the way from Waterford to Dungarvan mainly along the old train line.

This is the description.
The Waterford Greenway is a spectacular 46km off-road cycling and walking trail along an old railway line between Waterford and Dungarvan.

Further to some users expressing an interest in the Waterford Greenway I noticed that the Waterford Motorcycle Festival is on 13th and 14th July.
