Truma Bulkhead Gas Regulator showing a leak

Just noticed a smell of gas in the locker, did the soapy water test, the propane regulator is leaking (less than 2 years old), so a replacement on order.
Im told the gas can be dirty and this affects the seals in the regulator.
Anyone had a similar problem?
its a truma bulkhead mounted 30 mbar

I seriously doubt that dirty cylinder gas could erode the seals of a modern regulator . That excuse sounds to be from the coal gas days of the 1800's.
I would send a whatapp video of the current leaking regulator to the supplier and await their response.
Afterwards all, cylinder gas is strictly controlled in this country but gas parts are a different story because of international shipping and translation issues surrounding certification.

I think that regulator is a 2011. I think the year is the number at the very bottom. Mine is 2 years old and that number is 16. I have a spare just purchased and that number is 18. If it is a 2011 regulator, be no harm to change it anyway. Someone more knowledgeable should be along to clarify or disprove my theory shortly

Send a good video of the bubbles coming out of the regulator to the supplier, asking if they think its normal and is it all right to continue with your holiday, or will they have someone available to come out and do a warranty replacement.

Just change it I’d say would be best bet. €62 if you can get it locally. Donagjys will post you one down to your door for €72. Great service. Just double check whether you have a 10 mm or 8 mm outlet pipe. Put a calipers on it to be sure and order the correct one

I priced a filter house and element today - £4 dearer than a spare regulator. I got a regulator.

New regulator fitted today, 72€ delivered from donaghys
My old one had number 11, new one has number 18.

Maybe a good idea to soapy spray test you're regulator every so often
