Rubber burning

Hi
I have a Renault master there is a burning or rubber smell coming into the cab it comes and goes anyone any idea of the cause

Check your engine belts and tyres if there worn or something rubbing against them

Check the cables on the leisure battery they maybe getting hot for some reason and also check the battery or batteries.

I use a VW Caddy van for work that does this.

It's up to 280,000 miles now, and I've yet to find the cause.

Have a good look along the exhaust system, is one of the rubber mounts getting heat transfer , is there anything a little too close , best done when its hot.

Slipping clutch normally dosent smell of rubber,
It will have it unique smell kinda like a pong
