Just stopped at Lahinch, Co. Clare for the night and spotted this camper.
Very cool! No problem finding a parking spot for this.

Great pull in. Great cafe around the corner heading into town. Can’t flipping remember the name. A lot of surfers hang out there. Joe’s maybe or similar. Or maybe totally different 🙄🙄 enjoy

Sadly not many left now, there is a owners club in the UK but most have now hit the Scrap yard
In case you didn't know to match the "cute" look it has a name to match

Yeah, the kids noticed the name and loved it!
I’d say an average sized surfer would find it tough changing inside it though.

You still see a few of those around on the mainland.

There is one near a factory I visit in Hereford.

You'll see one or two pop up every now and again on the facebook motorhome for sale pages.

Really? I wouldn’t have thought there would have been many in use around the European mainland?? 😉

Have seen them myself for sale every now and again. They'll be a real collector in a few years.

It always puzzles me, the use of the term 'mainland' to describe the island of Great Brittian by some who live in Northern Ireland.
I mean, it's not as if Northern Ireland is an island off the coast of Great Britain in the way Inishmore is an island off the coast of Ireland.
Merriam- Webster defines 'an island' as a tract of land surrounded by water (which Northern Ireland is not) and smaller than a continent.
For those living on Rathlin Island would the 'mainland' be the island of Ireland or the island of Great Britain.

:bash: :-/

I suppose it depends on the interpretation of the word main in the context of the size of the Uk. Perhaps a bit like those southerners who live in Donegal and can be to the North of us Northerners.

I've no idea where the term comes from I first encountered it when I was an apprentice during stints in NI in the 70s.

I still work with some of the engineers from those days when I am in customers in the North, and they still use the term to describe GB.

I would guess it falls into the same sort of category as Londonderry & Derry.

To me Derry is in the Republic just above Dublin, to some of the engineers I work with it is where I refer to as Londonderry.

No offence was meant by using the term.

Just to second what Ally said, definitely no offence taken at all.
Welcome to motorhomecraic Biggles!

I think there is one thing we can definitely all agree on and that is ... .. .

Lovely little machine.
I sold one many years ago, traded it in against a car...... wish I ad it now, it was a minter.
Definately a “cute” vehicle........

also remember a client with a little Subaru camper, had a 2 cylinder 600cc engine and it went really well.... Cica late 80’s

One of my favourites was the Fiat Amigo with the Spacemaker roof. It could sleep 5 or 6, powered by a 903 cc engine. Looked at one once but the missus talked me out of it, she thought I would look stupid squeezed into it.

I think that the answer would be, 2nd gear, 4000 rmp and 10 miles to the gallon of go go juice.
But the Suzuki were built for that hardship, not like the modern crap European diesel.
