Is anyone going to have a look at the motorhomes and accessories at the holidayworld shows?

We have been going for the last few years and find it useful to get info on all the latest gear. There are loads of tourist boards there from various European areas.

I'll be there. Went a couple of years ago, didn't think much to it but I didn't have a Motorhome at the time.

I know what you mean about not thinking much of it.
The motorhome section isn't very strong but I think it because it costs so much for the exhibitors.

I can't blame companies for not attending. I am surprised more dealers don't hold their own open days like donaghys.

I think it is MCCNI holding the rally.

It might not be worth it for Wellhouse to attend as I have heard it is very expensive to exhibit.
The show isn't anything like the big shows in the UK.

We usually go to have a look at what is new but have never bought a motorhome through the show yet.

Mccni are having a meeting at the event.
its not an official rally but we usually get a discounted entrance or similar and overnight parking.
details not finalised as of yet.

as mark said plenty of tourist board sites and stenna or p&o usually have show deals on crossings.

We might take the van on Friday Night and do the show on Saturday before heading somewhere else for Saturday night...

Well it was a good show, plenty to see, some awfull layouts in Motorhomes and some real good ones. Bit dissapointed there wasn't more cheapies outside. As I have been looking and looking at prices I was quite shocked to see that certain dealers had put their prices UP for the show by a couple of grand. I usually thought there was good deals at shows. It seems you only think you are getting a good deal as they can knock that extra off.

Some of the caravans were excellent, so much more room than a MH and better layouts, just a pity they don't have an engine :)

Spent a few hours looking around the show on Saturday and only found one van that I would have liked to buy.

I listened to Many comments from other people while I was in some of the display models and was amazed to hear what peopleook for in a van.
One couple we more interested in the "nice taps" in one van but took no notice of so many other things which may have been more important.

Funny really.

I have been given the go ahead to get a price to change but can't see it happening to be honest.

Seen that it was lovely.

If I was buying a new MH, I don't think I would be able to pass on the new Bailey, it's keenly priced and with no wood in the structure, leaks will never create a problem, the worst they can do is stain the interior walls.

Indeed...very nice. I decided not to go to the show as I have everything I want in the Campervan and thruthfully wasn't interested in seeing MHs I had no intention of ever getting...the only thing I might have been interested in was offers from the ferry companies..so on the balance just didn't bother.

That is the SP. We would go for the SC.

Fancy the Island bed and decent sized garage.

We always like toe look of the Vision which this one replaces. The Vision was always a little plastic inside but they have addressed it now..

That review is correct in what it says about kitchen worktop space..

Was just looking at the new Bailey, the 6 berth, I knew they were good but I didn't think that good!

I thought if they leak the worst that can happen is a stain on internal wall, but no, that's made of GRP so it can't even stain. You could practically fill the walls with water and it wouldn't do any harm. Even the shelving and partition internal walls are reinforced.

The way forward I would think.

The one at the show was the 4 berth low profile model. I was in the 6 berth today with u-shape lounge, I had to walk away before I done something silly :)

LOL...

If you buy one you may stay away from Castle Ward.
The gates are narrow enough as it is.. I would not like to be going in there 4 inches wider...
