Yes very interesting, but I smiled when the first item after the programme was ‘All you need to know about the election’ from the BBC.’

This is the answer you get .
BBC iPlayer only works in the UK. Sorry, it’s due to rights issues. In the UK? Here's some advice.

I did think of that but this is also covered in their answers as to why you may not be able to receive the BBC iPLayer

Your IP address, which is the address websites use to determine where in the world you are, not being registered in the UK
You're using a VPN (Virtual Private Network), proxy, or similar service which masks your IP address

But you can do something about it.

Using a VPN or proxy? Try disabling it.

If you are using a VPN or proxy service and are in the UK, try disabling it to see if that helps. If we detect that you might be using a VPN, you'll be unable to play programmes. This is because we need to be confident you're in the UK, and if you're using a VPN or proxy, we can't detect reliably where you are.

Move house?

Never tried it with BBC but they do like their scaremongering. Try it and see, they won't nuke you.

It's free. You can subscribe if you wish and it will need lots to do that.

I joined, got put in a queue and was number 147000 in that queue. Once I invited others I got straight in.

Have a go at this: https://neal.fun/spend/

Totally and utterly unnaceptable greed of the highest order. No one should be allowed to accumulate this much wealth when others are starving, homeless and destitute. Worst of it is, he's far from alone.

I suppose the only good thing about Bill Gates money is that he's sail that it will be going to charity when he dies. Why not give it away now ? Sure he'll be criticised from all directions by organisations who don't benefit or don't get as much as they think they should. Sod the begrudgers and have fun giving it away anonymously. Make people happy, €500 tip to that waitress or taxi driver who goes the extra mile, a new lifeboat for every station in the country, pay off the mortgage for some genuine struggling families, built a few hundred social houses around the country. Bottom line that's far too much money for anyone.

But he’s foundation has donated over $45 bn. It will continue to keep giving. If he gave it all away now, that’s it , it’s all dried up. At the moment his wealth keeps generating.

Yeah I know he gives a lot away. Not enough and one person should never of been allowed to accumulate that amount to start with.

90 billion in the bank..... Oh just think how happy his bank is. Just think how many bankers he makes happy....... Oh just think about all those city business types he makes happy....

Whilst others starve to death.

Hes also slipped over the 100 billion....

All hail Bill Gates, I don't think so. Think how much more he could give to charity if he hadn't of bought that 40 million dollar plane, but then that's just pocket change or a small night out. There is so much more he could do without just giving it all away.

I certainly don’t think these guys actually have all that money. Not as liquid cash sitting in the bank. They have a share in their companies, which in theory could tank over night. If anyone has been following Elon Musk defamation case, Elon tells the jury his net worth is about $20 billion, but he is short on cash 🤔. I just hope Gates or someone like him will do some good.

But I agree. No one person should be allowed to accumulate so much. It’s a winner takes all system this version of capitalism we know.

That's mental, Rob, I didn't know of that case. Now you know why Ally and the team were so adamant that we were covered with Insurance at meets. I can see some of those big Facebook meets coming to a very sorry end where people having anything to do with the running of them will be pursued for damages arising out of Claims. 99.99% of people are genuine but all it takes is one to ruin it for everyone.

Too true Pat. This is the sort of thing that causes businesses to close. I hate this whole compensation culture where people think its ok to go after companies because they burned their mouth on the hot coffee they bought, or they fell over at the ice rink and busted their lips.
There was a case about a year back where a walker up the mountains fell over and sued whoever was responsible for the upkeep of a wooden walkway she slipped on. Seriously, if you cant take a walk without taking responsibility if you fall over, stay at home. The case was kicked out.

I’m surprised that defamation case was taken. Asking someone to pay the bill is no grounds for defamation, even if it did make them look bad. Openly accusing a couple of trying not to pay the bill, that would have been a different matter. As with the Elon Musk case, name calling is not grounds for defamation. But had he made a statement of fact, it could have been very different.

Thank goodness for sensible judgements in throwing out these cases. Otherwise we’d all be getting sued left, right and center.

Even the Judge said that it was probably Mccarthy's argumentative attitude that had led to proceedings.
This pillock deserved to have all the court costs awarded against him.
In my eyes it just does not seem right for everyone sitting at a table to Just disappear after they have had their meal, whether that is to the smoke room or the loo or anywhere else.
It is obvious that this establishment had been caught out in the past with louts disappearing so of course they done the right thing.

So we all end up paying for the pillocks day in court. you take the case you lose you should pay and until they are made pay this type of claim will go on. Judge My arse, they are responsible for keeping this type of claim culture going.
