Possible new addition to App?

I noticed recently that a nearby service station has washing machines installed on it's forecourt. I saw another in Waterford recently. There's probably a reasonable amount of them around the country.

Given the number of people who don't use camp sites that have these facilities it might be an idea to list them on the app as a layer in the same way as gas suppliers are.

Yes, may be something useful.
There is a comprehensive list at revolutionlaundry.ie but need an internet connection to view.

All seems to make sense. Even adding all the waste disposal points in ROI.

Paul (Pablo) will explain this better than me.

We are getting very close on the MPI App to clustering the POI's as there are so many already (same way the GB one is) - I don't really like the clustering, maybe that's just me, but there is no way around it.

The idea of the App has always been, simple to use, no personal details required, uses very little space (megabytes) on each device, loads quickly and works offline.

The more stuff we add the more slowly it loads and the more bulky it becomes, that's not even considering the huge amount of coding it takes to add another category.

In saying that, the App is constantly in a state of development, unfortunately it provides very very little income so it's all done on spare time.

I'll make Paul aware of this topic as I am sure he will want to explain.

Well I for one like it just as it is.
Quick simple and easy to use. Not bogged down with too much information. IMO if you need a laundry or waste bin that bad you’ll find one. It’s at its best giving us info on good safe places to overnight. Just like the ronseal add. It does exactly what it says on the tin
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it

In years gone by we used to stuff our dirty washing into a black flat waste water container, add some hot water and detergent and leave it on the floor of the van while we were driving. The clothes came out a treat.
