Was passing through Dunmore East on Sunday and no camper vans on the pier. The area at the end of the pier where the vans park is closed off with fencing.
Didn't go down to investigate.

Dunmore east habour is similar to Howth in that, 6 working habours around Ireland were closed to non commercial parking by ministerial order since 2012. This ministerial order has really only been inforced in the last year or so.
By the fact that a commercial campsite has opened in Dunmore East, it would be madness to attempt to park on the pier overnight now.

We always use the campsite but last weekend was the first time there were no vans on the harbour wall.
Just giving a heads up to those lovers of "wild camping"

I think the Pier was damaged during the Storm. Possibly cordoned off for repairs!
