Has anyone stayed over in either of the two campsites in Doolin Co Clare. I will be in that area over Sunday/Monday and am wondering which is the better site ?

Massive difference in my opinion.
We were there earlier this year.

Sorry o cannot remember the names of the sites but go to the one by the pier. Much better and very tidy.

We drove into the other one and drove straight out again. Just a field with gravel hard stands.

I think you mean Nagles, that's the one I was considering as the advert for it looks better.
Thanks for your reply.

Yes. That is the one.

It is just as the photos in the guide looks.

It is a big site with a great playpark if you have young kids with you.

I stayed in Nagles on Sunday night, massive site, well laid out and clean facilities, pity about the weather. Thanks for your advice Mark
I stayed in Lough Lannagh Castlebar last night, private pitches but not much space for awning, basic clean facilities and very close to shopping centres and restaurants (10 min walk), already a few pounds (£££'s) lighter :( .

No worries.
That is waht this site is all about. Keeping each other informed.

I was glad to hear you liked it too.
We haven't been to Castlebar yet.Might stay away if there are shops nearby... :-)

Very quiet site, reasonably priced, playground on way in, shops nearby, what more do you need, maybe some sun 8-)
