Just back from a few weeks in Normandy, Brittainy and Paris.
some info people might find usefull.
1 Diesel is about 1.39 Euro at the Le clerc, Carrefoure etc. AVOID the Total stations on the main roads as it can be 1.49 !!
2 The big Le clerc's now offer free wifi. buy a cheap item at the cafe and ask for a password. Free use for 24 hours and without a booster I got a good signal at around 50 metres. No wifi at Carrefoure.
3 Carrefoure and Geant Casino are doing the NF marked breathalysers at about 1.20 euro for one as opposed to 7.50 for two on Irish Ferries. Legal requirement from July.
4 Excellent site for Paris. Camping Beau Village pretty little site 20km SW Paris 16.00 euros. spotless toilets great showers, free wifi, 700 mts from RER (railway) 9 euro return direct line to Notre Dame and Eiffel Tower
5 Spent over 30 euro per night at Huttopia Versailles, clean but locks on toilet doors not working, showers lukewarm, tight sloping mud, gravel and sawdust pitches, Seriously over priced 'concept' site pay for wifi. very tight manouvering van with lots of trees to damage your van as you move about.
