Seems like different parties are being told or reading different views into the policy. The 1 hour cover was told to a customer whilst in France during a break down. Can anyone actually confirm what the policy consists off rather than hear say in that case.

As I'm still getting my van sorted to the way I want it, so spent all day Saturday doing a number of jobs including finding out why I could not get either hot water or anything more than a trickle of water from the hot taps. Turns out that an air relief valve/hot water feed from the truma is buggered and it was just pumping (that's the polite term) any water in the heater tank out of the air pipe and onto the ground. In case anyone wants to know how to get at it, well let's just say I had to dismantle half of the van to get at it 🇧🇭 🇧🇭 🇧🇭 I have a temporary fix in place and the new part ordered (will have to dismantle the van again to fit it)

I did manage to sort the cables out for the new tv and it went from this

To this with not too much bother

Nice one John. Good to see the new TV in position. (I want one)

As for the water problem. If your boiler is releasing water out the bottom of the van have you tried pulling the the little red button on the electronic valve?

Did that, it is a fairly common problem which truma are aware of and it's caused by the ball valve loosing the ball and nothing stoops the water pumping out.

The hot water supply goes onto the end opposite the clear tube and it all connects to the boiler. The idea is that should the tank empty with the taps closed then the tank will be able to draw air to allow it to empty. ( that's my engineering head telling me what it does!)

As for wanting a tv like mine here is where I got it from

Attached quick release fittings to the barbeque. Now I can use it at home or when away without changing regulators. I fitted one to the motorhome regulator and one to the bottle we use at home.

Finally finally finally I now have a electric flushing toilet :)

Long story but basically, flush never worked. The other week I took it all apart and checked all solenoids etc, what a job that is.

Anyhow what I thought was a pump is not a pump, the pressure comes from the main pump (pressurised system), it is just a switch. All along the problem was no power going to it.

Tried finding some handy positive wires to wire to it to give it power but it wasn't going to turn out very good and some bad looking trunking.

So a quick fix thought of last night, and it works!

Wired the switch to a bell push which I fitted to the front of the toilet, put in-line an ordinary square 9 volt battery hidden inside the void in the toilet casing and it works a treat, not sure how long the battery will last, but I was well chuffed :)

Don't throw them smoke alarm batteries out I have a use for them

Well tonight I have replaced the non return valve and air relief valve on the truma, I also replaced a couple of the door stops which were worn and didn't actually catch.

Washed, waxed, polished the exterior.
Vacuumed, washed and polished the interior.
Glass polished inside and out.
Black trim treated.
Wheels polished and tyres dressed.

No idea why as it will be covered in dead flys by bed time. LOL.

Hi all,

Got some wheel nut indicators and fitted them. The little pointers that fit over your vehicles wheel nuts and have a yellow pointer to show if the nut has loosened.

I have driven Minibuses for 40 years and there has always been stories circulated about vans and trucks having a wheel fall off. Usually a nearside wheel.

Some of the buses in the past even had opposite thread bolts and nuts to try and surmount this problem. No definative answer was ever forthcoming despite research.

Havn't heard of it recently but thought for the sake of a few quid it was worth doing.

I got the seats, carpet & dashboard off...

The dashboard fought me every step of the way. Scars to prove it...

Found some additional & unplanned ventilation under the carpet... (around the engine well)
