HI I'm totally new to the camper world but cant wait to get on the road. I am however having a bit of trouble with insurance. I purchased a 2000 vito which seams to have been converted to a camper at some stage, although i'm still unsure perhaps it was factory made this way.
It is a mercedes vito with a pop top roof etc from Reimo conversions (hint) I think it was possible converted by a Reimo in manchester (thats what the sticker says) but it looks like the company no longer exist. Insurence is quoting me upto £5500 to insure and thats not going to happen.
Can anyone help.

Hi,

Welcome to the Craic.

I was just looking at this very thing yesterday, if you go HERE, they have very cheap insurance. If it is a Converted Van or a MH that is over ten years old you have to get an Engineers report, but they don't seem to ask for very much and would seem quite easy to get. Currently looking at it myself as my MH is over ten years old.

Not sure where you are.... but all they asked me for was a copy of my MOT, no need for an engineers report.
