Sim Card for iPad in France

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has been able to purchase a PAYG Sim card for an iPad in France? I would like to purchase one this year so that I can use my iPad. Or maybe other members have a better solution. So far I've not been able to have a satisfactory solution. 🇧🇭

It's very difficult to get payg micro sims on data only, another way is to use your smart phone as a wifi hotspot and link the pad to the phone. Failing that go to McDonalds :D, that way it only costs the price of a big mac.

Thanks for the info but I really need to purchase a Sim Card although I may have to lower my sights and eventually fall back on McD's

Thanks so much

If you try a large Carrefour, they do their own USB data dongles which use the orange network, I have one for Spain and its 1 euro a day, the coverage is not great but it works, only problem I would see is that it uses a full size sim not the micro sim the iPad uses. However if you got a mifi type device you could set up a wifi hotspot in your van and link the iPad into it

Not straightforward. French law is quite strange on this.

We have been looking for a few years but never bothered going through the hoops.

You must register the card to a French address withing a few days of activating it.

We found a company called lefrenchsim which are as close as we could get but it must be activated on the French network and not before you depart your own network.
Data only is another problem.
All much more difficult over there.
