The oven in our Motorhome won't light even though it sparks. When I press the button there is a good spark but it won't light. I've got to use a gas lighter. Anyone got any suggestions?

Is it lighting with a lighter? If so it's ur pilot light is blocked. The pilot light os a small pencil type flame that heats a thermocouple. It's a safety device that allow a the main gas to light.. The spark is usually near the thermocouple. The jet on the pilot light is probably blocked

Gently rub with a wire brush where the spark jumps to. And ideally a blast of compressed air too.

I discovered this evening that if I light it with a gas lighter, and need to light it again in 5 minutes it will do it by itself. So will try Tristans suggestion at the week end when I get a minute.

I had the same problem I used a bicycle pump to clear it out also works on the fridge where the gas seems to attract flies at the pilot
