Amanda's parents are over and they went to Kilkee Yesterday, and despite going several times before to Kilkee they had not ventured onto the cliff walk, they did Yesterday and were very pleased at the views they had.

Happy to share them and agree with you jack, apart from your taste in "French" red wine.

Well one can always get the French Wine here but its more expensive. I ranted and raved in Tesco the other day about their poor showing and stocking of French Wines.

John you've never heard me rant and rave when I believe in something. I believe the French are standing up to Tesco in the pricing and telling them where to go. I must say I agree with them. Tesco think they can beat producers down in their prices.

You are spot on there, Jack!

Most people think when there is an offer on in a supermarket that the supermarket are taking the hit, that is not true they cut the producers payment and then take the credit for the offer.

Didn't the farmers have a stall at the Agricultural Show in Kings Hall, selling their produce for the same price Tesco gives them for it? I think that's how it worked, but it was basically to let others know how Tesco treat them.

My bro in law was a veg farmer in north down. Tesco was his downfall cut prices went back on deals by charging him for special offer prices refused 40ft loads over one bad item ..... The list goes on.

He is no longer farming :'(

Its not just Tesco, they all do it. I know of one family who used to produce for Llidl and they ended up busting them by withholding payments for stupid reasons.

That's for Sure, John!

Not only have they put producers and suppliers out of Business, They are also responsible for putting many small Family shops and stores to the wall. Further to this most are in foreign ownership and the profits are leaving the Country.
