We stayed there 2 years ago and it's very nice. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be used very much for some reason. We enjoyed it there and hope to go back sometime.

Booked in next Friday night for lurgan park rally Saturday,

Stayed about 2 years back and found it a pleasant and enjoyable stay,

The swans were huge and would walk up onto the slipway if you had food for them (wrecker should like that)

I also got an info pack emailed to me a few weeks back with rules etc so I must read them before we arrive Friday evening,

Stayed two years ago, I seem to remember that the on site cafe restaurant closes at 5.00 and the complex closes at 8.00 so you are locked outside the barrier later at night requiring a longer ehu.

Found this old post using the search function. I’ve never visited this marina before but I called in for a while today in the car and for a cycle and they were completely re-tarmacing the campsite park. It looks very tidy with plenty of walks and the play park and cafe looked busy enough even for a Monday with nobody in the campsite part. The campsite area must have been closed off for the temporary work as it was full of machinery and no caravans or motorhomes were in it.

I was chatting to a guy in Portumna from that area, Kinego, he said you just go down and park and it's a great spot but he wouldn't use it as it's on his doorstep. He recommended a bar but I can't remember what it was called.

Yes there was a hired Bunk Campers Weinsberg van while I was there. Plenty of room for parking and no height barriers. I would not be cheeky and park overnight right beside the paid area though. I would visit by day and stay at the pub on the app nearby.

Yes I had a peep on Google Streetview and it looks like a lovely spot with an unobstructed view out over the Lough.

There's also a large carpark further on past the turn off to the marina. Sadly they won't let you park for the night, or they didn't a few years ago. Certain times of the year there is a fly infestation.
