Have been going to this for 7 years now Kevin. It's a great event. There is a crowd from gascc travel up each year from Cork. They bring their own kegs and pumps etc and stay in a hotel the night before but party at Kilbeggan on the Saturday. A crowd of us go on either the Thursday or Friday and make a great weekend out of it. My thinking at the minute is that it's Easter hols so Kilbeggan that weekend and stay somewhere until Vantesival the following weekend.

Easter starts on Friday 29th march

Whoops. :D I was a full month out. That means I will have to change my plans and take a week off work or just head down both weekends.

Yes mate, I was there and twas" good :D Arrived Friday about 6:30, cursed the weather and the 2 hour clean I"d given the RV, but used a hose on site to swill her down, parked up in the spot Joe (the organiser/owner of the site) gave us. Nice and leval, no hook up but brought my small Honda gennie ( the on board one"s too big/loud/thirsty) beers openned by 8  Sat. was nice n" dry, spent the day watching all the Yank cars/ truck arriving, caught a lift in a nice dayvan for the cruise, then into the evenning, more beers :-) , barbeque in their club house, more beers, plenty of crack then stumble back for some kip. Up to bloody rain on Sun.am cold and wet 🇧🇭 but, some absolutely geogeous machinery coming through the gates, dried up and the crowds arrived, Jeez, as part of the show you get looked at but, I had to walk away for a while, got fed up with people walking into the RV for a look without even asking..FFS  even had to tell a young fella" to get off the ladder at the back, much to his father"s disagreement !!! Ah well, all part of having something different I "spose. We headed off at about 4:30 having had a crackin" weekend, one that I can recommend, and I"ll be there next year, now, where"s me" bucket and sponge... again!

No Ken, I'm not going to Kilbeggan this time, just reminding folks that it's on, if they are at a loose end.
