Anyone else see this in yesterdays I Times?

LORNA SIGGINS

A decision on a controversial ban on camper vans and overnight boats in Kinvara harbour, south Galway, has been deferred until early next year, writes .

Galway County Council says the proposed ban on “temporary dwellings” at Kinvara pier is in response to a “significant number of complaints received on the issue of camper vans remaining overnight”. However, following a public meeting in Kinvara on Wednesday night, it was agreed that a final decision on a proposed bylaw would be deferred until March. The organisers of the Cruinniú na mBád festival of Galway hookers and traditional craft had said such a ban could jeopardise the future of the festival.

Wonder who the campers were and why "significant number of complaints" against overnighting were received and from whom?? Maybe its time for a rally in Kinvara? Or else boycott it!

Strange attitude. I found height barriers on most carparks in Donegal excluding motorhomes.
I thought Ireland was in need of as much money as possible at present.
Maybe they have an inept government too! <_<

Far too much text for one page there.

Maybe people in these areas would see a difference if no motorhomes or boats visited their village for a year. I think the shops would notice.

I agree it's 80% waffle, it being a report of a meeting involving public representatives 🇧🇭
But it is necessary to wade through it to understand how ill-informed the people who would like us to PFO are.
It is only be knowing what rubbish is in their mind that we can develop a strategy to educate them and hopefully get them onside.
As in any conflict the most potent weapon is knowledge of how your opponent thinks.
