I've been told that the test is rigorous despite the disclaimers on the bumff that comes with the cert. Tbf they caught some nasty rust damage on my test. That said I'm wondering if I should , or could , take inspection a step further seeing that damage was found. Repaired and passed btw.

Great to see you passed, and isn't it good to know your van is safe for you and your family to travel in

MOT test failed me on front sill rust last year so I got it all fixed for the retest. Frustrating at the time but did me a favour really. Wonder what they will find this year!

The fact that they're finding things is good to know. I had the impression that the test was superficial.
