Thanks for the welcome.
I look forward to contributing. Been meaning to join for a while now.

I'm based near Galway city. I've had motorhomes 10 years now.
First was a Fiat Ducato, Swift Sundance, 4-berth Motorhome.
Second, and current one, is a Fiat Ducato, Dethleffs, 6-berth Motorhome.

Going to downsize this year as no longer need a 6-berth. Also going to sell my car.
Looking at getting a VW T6 as both my camper and daily driver (know of any around 2018 let me know).

Been to Wales once, France three times, and looking at the Scottish Highlands this summer (any tips welcome).
Great to see more aires / pubs / restaurants allowing campers to overnight around Ireland.

Welcome Padraig.
we won't hold it against you because your from Galway 😂
What year is your current van.
There are not many of the big VW campervans around, more Ducato, Sprinters, Boxers and some Transits. Might be worth your while to look at Europe.

Thanks sprinter!
Current van is 1999 lhd, love it, but have to sell it, not getting the use anymore.

Don't want a big VW. Looking at getting a Transporter.
Either by the commercial myself and get it converted. Or buy one already converted.

Thanks Galldar!

Yes, my 6-berth has rear bunks. Exact same layout as this

Unlike the one in the video mine is the Globetrotter, and also has a tv and a 4-rail bike rack.

It's going to my mechanic to be serviced in the next few weeks, then cvrt, then I plan to list it - probably some time around the end of March.
Yes, please put me in contact with your friend. Thank you.

Took a look there on their website and they are very pricey.
But it's great to see the different layouts. I'm liking the look of the rear-based kitchen. :-)

Theres a guy out the road from me converting 3 southern vans at the minute, one Dublin guy dropped a brand new black (I think ,it was dark) sprinter off for full conversion, think he said the van itself was60,000 euros, would this be the price of a new sprinter

Van costs around €40,000 + conversion+ VRT and possibly Vat, not cheap
