The Bay of Biscay can be a bit trying in adverse conditions so I’d be happy to take their word for it 😂

I would be inclined to agree, I think the carpark in Rosslare, in the van would be a much nicer place to be, for most people.
There is also no chance of them having to pay out millions in compo, for damages.
I was on the Normandy going to Roscoff, when the waves were breaking on the front lounge window,
( having a few free pints, the Bar keep had disappeared). But I don't remember having to get out the passenger side when I parked on board in Rosslare. The mirrors were overlapping on the drivers side.

10pm when we finally untied from Rosslare. Couple pints in the bar and off to bed.
She’s a bit choppy in the bay and rolling about a bit, they’ve tied the vehicles below.
The boat is virtually empty. Much nicer vessel than the previous one and the pet deck is a vast improvement.
We arrive in Bilbao 5am tomorrow and disembark at 7am.

As a younger family back in the eighties, we came back from a Spain road trip around the Bay of Biscay.
On this voyage apparently the boat's stabilisers failed to operate.
Never before or since have we experienced worse sea sickness during a ferry voyage. Everyone around us just lying around moaning or staggering to the toilets to vomit (some not quite making it). It was days before we finally felt normal again, and we'll never forget the journey.
Give me a cancellation anytime!
PS Having said all that, our two young off-spring happily sat through it all, seemingly unaffected, munching on chocolate and giggling at our plight.
