Over the weekend our hot water stopped the heater is heating the water but when I turn the tap to the warm side the pump cuts out it’s fine on the cold side looking a the filter beside the pump the seams to be air in the system anyone any idea

try turning from cold to hot slowly
at what point does the pump cut out
you should be able to get warm water
other theres a air lock in the boiler

There usually is a non return valve before the heater unit Robert, it may be jammed shut.

the only things before the boiler are the dump valve and this connector is that a non return valve

Drained the system took that straight connector of it is the no return and it is damaged well done John have ordered one up 👍

I have them Robert, if they get a quick flush in reverse (hot water hits them) then it’s not uncommon for them to jam.
