The burner in my oven is only lighting about a third of the way across. Anyone any idea what would be causing this?

Dust? or a bit of crud, run a soft wire brush along it, then run the hoover along it,or give it a blow with an airline,
( for the smart ar***s obviously when not lighting )

Local gas engineer looking £100 to have a look. Decided we'll do without oven.
