Surprised to see no recommendation regarding a visit to Skibbereen.....home of endless sunshine, smooth roads and good-looking women?

Bite your tongue Tony, or there will be another Norman Raid launched from Glynn,

Thanks a lot for the info.
I don't think we'll be in Norman View in those days, probably much further north.

As for wet weather, you don't know what Southern Europe is like.
It hasn't rained for months, the rivers are dry, in a while they will have to ration the water.
The morning is usually as sultry as a swim in the pool, the afternoons are dry but with temperatures closer to 40 than 35°C.
We live in the house with the air conditioning on, in September we will see the electricity bill. Sigh and Sob ...
And I'm talking about Northern Italy, imagine in the south, last year in Salento (Apulia) for weeks the temperature stayed above 40°C.

@StrandCampingDoonbeg.
Of course I will.
Do you think there are problems even for just one night ?
A small corner for a six-meter van and a shower are enough for us, we don't need EHU.

Your question above is a question I get asked very often. We have no small corners, we have 18 defined pitches all with ehu available. We do not squeeze people in. If 18 pitches are occupied then we are full.

We are back from our trip to your beautiful Island.
We traveled 90% of the Wild Atlantic Way from Old Kinsale Head to Malin Head plus the Causeway Coastal Route.
Despite the "narrow" streets we didn't miss places like Kinnagoe Bay and went up to Magilligan Point View.
Then Inishowen Head and I don't remember how many other wonderful places.
Unfortunately we were unable to do the Gobbins Walk, reservations were required and the first availability was only three days after we arrived.
With the exceptions of nice Kilkenny, Cobh and Enniskillen, we didn't visit towns this time.
Armagh disappointed us a little, but perhaps because of the climate of conflict that is felt there.

I want to thank all of you for the help you have given me in preparing the trip.

Should you decide to come to Italy, feel free to ask for information.

Max
