campsite carrick on suir

hello fellow craicers

I was passing through Carrick on Suir (Co Tipperary) today and there is a camp site approx half a mile outsiide the town, definetly within walking distance from the pubs. For anyone who doesn't know, it is located on the river suir. Carrick is a lively town with the only Tudor Manor in Ireland, with lots of lively pubs in the locality, area is steeped in history, with Cahir Castle and Swiss cottage only a short drive away. if you would like me to check this out for a possible meet up in August, early September let me know. The Clancy Brothers festival was on there this week end and there was at least 30 vans there.
I'm sure Pat could add to the above been a Tipp man!!!

Which Side off Town Are we Looking At, John As I Know There Was One At The Top Of The Town,
Which I Think Has Closed.

John you are nearer to Carrick than I am, We passed it on Friday going down to your side of the Country Dunmore East and there seemed to be a good few caravans and Motorhomes there, it's the first time I noticed any activity there.
