Importing an RV

Hi new here.
Just realised there's an RV corner!
I am moving to Ireland from the UK and have a 33 foot RV. (Thor hurricane)
I've owned it for only 2 years so won't be leaving it behind and will mostly use over in Europe ( I don't think the Irish roads are the best for my beast!)
Any ideas of costs of transfer like vrt, tax, import duties?
Read somewhere if owned more than 6 months there isn't too much to pay?
Any knowledge input very welcome

No don't be getting started on the wrong foot, by slagging our roads😭, we do have a lot of big 65 seat coaches and buses, going around the country, now finding places to park it, could be a problem, 🤔.
Seriously, with all you else you will have to do, on landing here, getting yourself settled in. I suggest you have all the TOR paperwork filled out and ready to go before you move, sales invoice, logbook, (proof of use) tax insurance, service records, for all your vehicle's, because you have to start the process within 7 days of arrival, you may also have to deal with two different centers, for your car and RV. wherever you are going to move too have you room to park it.
Best of luck with the move 🤞👍

Hi there, great to see another RV on the island, sorry I can't advise on import into Ireland as we've only had our RV's (4) in the North which, as you know, is the UK.
As regards roads, they're probably better in the south than the UK these day to be honest.
However, we have downsized to a Thor Axis RV of late and I find it the ideal size.
Hope to see you at a Craic meet before too long, good luck.
