Campsite price rises for 2022. Anyone else notice?

I was browsing a few Irish campsites that I like using and I've noticed some major price rises. I'm not going to give names or locations but the typical price rise is €5 across the board. It's now €30 off season for a lot of campsites. Has anyone else noticed this?

The 20% price rise (€25 to €30) is a bit steep and is turning me off visiting them. I thought that as the travel restrictions were easing, more people would be travelling to the continent. This would mean less using Irish campsites and campsites would have to work to attract visitors.

For a family for a week I've worked it out at €350 to €400 a week. I got prices off Eurocamp for a week in France for less than that (and that included the mobile home!)

Supply vs Demand?
My advance bookings are unprecedented.

Rising overheads?
A campsite owner who charges €5 for ehu was telling me he is going to have to increase the charge because he feels even at a fiver he is loosing out.

Making up for the last 2 years with an average of 4 months per season?

Greed?

Who knows. The more other sites charge the more reasonable we become.

blame Brexit, everyone else for everything else does lol

AND COVID..

For the first time, for ten years and five years in another, we've had to put prices up in two businesses, electric, fuel and other issues have forced our hands.

Everything will be going up.

For the first time ever…… over €100 to fill the Berlingo work van today. Crazy.
Delivery of products up a lot, products prices up……
Getting concerning where this will all stop.

In my opinion Jon it will all end with a massive recession.

Sounds like I'm wrong with people going to go abroad.

I don’t think you are Joe. Quite a few probably the majority who would have taken a trip to mainland Europe did not go in 2020 and 2021 but will be going this year.
I think there are simply many more people camping now than in 2019. This coming season I have lots of advanced bookings from GB. Not many from France, Germany and Holland yet but they tend to book later than most anyway.
It is true as others have said about rising costs which in some cases are well in excess of 25% compared to a year ago.
That said I’m happy to hold my prices this year as I will probably make less profit per booking but I’ll probably have more bookings so it will balance out.

As a reluctant staycationer last summer for first time since 1997, we will be off to the continent this year by hook or by crook, if im going to get fleeced, id rather do it where the sun is sure to shine!...we spent more per day on the WAW last summer than we ever do on mainland europe...

Oh I've the ferry booked and a route half mapped out. I have a route but knowing me I won't get it finished. Now that I think about it, it's trying to finish a route from a few years ago.

Now that I think of it, the most expensive site I stayed in on the continent was almost €30. The site was in the middle of a city right on the bank of the river. It had swimming pool, restaurant, gym and a dedicated motorhome/caravan wash. For €30 here I'll hardly get a shower on the Irish site.
