PS head home via Killarney could be a good option for you ,N 71 still closed between Kenmare and Glengarrif

With the N 71 still closed I had a look at the map and saw "Priest's Leap". Hmm, looks interesting I thaught, so I went for it. I challenge anyone to do it in anything larger than a Hobby 600.

I love the drive over Priests Leap, but only in the car! Especially with the family in it, it's like a roller coaster in parts, blind crests and turns.

Sprayed Wet and Forget on the Motorhome canopy roof. Time will tell if it’s as good as they say… or if I should “forget “ it

And now the shagging mist is coming back in. That wasn’t to arrive until much later☹
I guess I’ll be out doing it again whenever it decides to stop raining

David I have heard good reports about wet and forget but have not used it myself yet, as you have said it will not work very well when it has been washed down a drain.

I have always disliked the lack of flexibility with the dinette area in our van or any van so I swapped the old fixed table and put in a Lagun system plus a fold out table. Makes the space so much more cosey and usable especially when the front bed is dropped.

I was putting ceramic coatings on a car over the weekend and had some left over. I applied the leftovers to the 'van.

The plastics got a dose of Gtechniq C4 as experience has shown me that I'll get at least 18months out of this.

The wheels got a coating of Gtechniq C5. C5 means washing the wheels becomes a touchless operation with no scrubbing. Brake dust doesn't really stick also.

Proper prep was done prior to application (wash, detar, wheels clayed and fallout remover, IPA wipedown). Coatings are currently curing in the garage as they can't get wet for the first 24 to 48 hours.

Yes I'm an odd fecker and I've more coatings on the way for the body......

Edit, no pictures as it's in the garage and it's dark now.

Unexpectedly found some time to myself at home recently 😬 so got round to a bit of a tidy up.
I’d rescued some carpet tiles that were destined for the skip.
The cab had lino on the floor when we bought it, but was tatty and breaking up.
I’d an off cut of carpet over it to hide it, but it was grubby and hard to clean.
Cleared them out and fitted the carpet tiles, much pleased with the new look 😁

Fitted a SOG system to toilet cassette just before Xmas.... Very pleased with it as hate using those blue chems etc.....Can see it really coming into its own in hotter Weather/Climes...... Bought the kit on Ebay.de....I have since shortened the flexi pipe going from spout cap to fan.

It is supposed to go on cassette door but literally only had millimetres of clearance as the cassette is situated extremely forward and close to door....I seen I had a handy opening beside it to run flexi pipe into a cupboard under the sink in the bathroom....Same result either way.

Norman, don,t mind him, Mirela would only empty it once, just to prove a point, and we both know who it would be over. ;-)

A friend of mine failed the CVRT today. One of the issues was sidewall cracking on the inside of the tyres, all four of them 😳
They are three year old Continental Camper tyres on his Mercedes based A-class which gets lots of use.

That sure would be hard to take, are they 3 year old from being fitted to his motorhome and possibly have been shelved many years somewhere else, or are they 3 years old from manufacturing?
