Motor home wanted for rent in Wexford

We’re planning to buy a motorhome but want to rent a few first. We’re hoping someone in Wexford would consider renting their motorhome on regular occasions over the next few months. Please let me know if this is something you would consider. We need a 4 seat / 4 berth model that can be driven on a car licence. Many thanks.

Hi Jen,
Welcome to Motorhome.Craic,

That question has been asked in the past and the one answer that came was a big fat no from everybody, various reasons were given,

You could try the rental companies but expect to pay well with usually a min 5 nights booking etc,

Good luck with the search

As already stated....You will find it almost impossible for anyone to rent their motorhomes.

Motorhome rental company is your only option but you need ro get the ball rolling as demand will be huge again this year....... Prices will be steep also.

Adding to the above, even if there was someone willing to make an extra buck, there's no way you can get the MH insured for rental purposes and that's the biggest risk.

For what you'll be paying for rentals, you might as well but an older van, enjoy it and then sell it. Either if you didn't like the experience or you loved it and want to upgrade.

If you buy a good honest van, it will always sell in the future and they hold their value incredible well.

That's pretty much how we started a few years back and there's no looking back now.

As already stated nobody will rent you their pride and joy,and also as said insurance would be impossible to get.
Also anybody with a motorhome will be itching to get back out themselves after all the lockdowns in recent times.

As much as one would like to help out even family, we are of the same feeling, no one, not even family, would be allowed to drive our Motorhome. It is our pride and joy. So sorry Jen, not what you would want to hear but when you purchase your own, you will know what we all mean. The best of luck finding what you want.

Folks not sure if is just the old cynical me but Jen registered at 09.07 this morning then posted at 09.14.
Many of us have replied with the obvious answer as this seemed to be someone in urgent need of a rented motorhome.
Almost 12 hours later they have not even checked on replies.??????
Just my thinking.

Have seen a reasonable amount of people coming on posting a question...... getting an answer/s and then never heard of again, some don’t even acknowledge the answers.
We can only hope a few genuine people stick around. Having said that new posters may not realise how fast answers are posted here.
Keep the faith 😬

I think it was a legit question, but didn't get the answer he expected thus probably won't bother to come back unless he makes the decision to go ahead and buy I think.
