nice to look at, but a nightmare to buy, own and even drive. It seems the more vintage attachments you have in the VW scene the cooler you are!!...each to their own though

I didn't think you could get away with carrying something like that on the front.

Why don,t they put bike racks on the front of M/H ?

I would assume that the van doesn’t have power steering if it is a genuine original model. That would make steering a bit of a struggle.
I don’t think you are allowed even bull bars on a vehicle unless original factory fit. Any thing on the front nowadays is probably regarded as dangerous to pedestrians. It would certainly mess with the NCAP rating.

Well just to mix it up a bit I used to drive a lorry with a huge winch on the front which protruded about 3’ from the bumper and it was tested annually with no issues
