Happy February everyone out there in parked up land :D

Maureen is recovering nicely from her new bionic knee and I find she is taking back a lot of the jobs around the house that I have been doing wrong (of course) so getting a bit fed up with not so much to do.

Anyway enough waffle

In my garage I have a 80w folding solar panel like this one but different make
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/80W…SwikNcp0QT
and was wondering if it would be a good idea to mount it on the roof alongside the 100w already up there after taking out the controller etc.
Not sure I need more Solar so simply looking for insults (sorry advice) about this idea.

Or I could just sell it I guess.

David

Keep smiling folks as it costs the same as being bl~~dy miserable <_< ^_^

Is your intent to fix the portable suitcase unit permanently onto your roof and wire it in parallel with your present panel so that it uses your present controller.

If it were me I would arrange the wiring so that it could be connected into your existing charge controller.
However, I would keep it portable, doing that would mean that, when necessary, you can point it at the sun for maximum output when the sun is low in the sky.
