I escaped to Wexford, so I got the wood stove Flue set up and out the chimney, next frame out and install the shower room. just a little bit to keep me going.

Cleaning and painting a house we had rented out to a wee S***. He left it like a derelict house, gardens ruined, smells of weed and loads of rubbish.

Well I have spent most of September in France, October in Italy and now in Spain until 8th November. The scenery has, as usual been spectacular though the weather has been a bit mixed.

All this for a total of about £15 as I have spent most days watching Le Tour, the Giro and now the Vuelta courtesy of Eurosport. The good news is it is on from about 11.30 until 16.30 so I am exempt from household jobs. It is a great way to select places to visit from the helicopter shots, although some of the mountain roads look a bit scary. I often double up watching the cycling from the Motorhome which gets it aired and adds to the atmosphere.

The downside is that it makes you miss the actual trips away to France and Spain. Still live in hope I guess.

Got a Quest 2 Virtual Reality Headset so as well as playing games I can pretend I am on holiday in VR using Google Earth/Streetview 🤪

Working away. In and out of different properties. Not overly happy about that, but can’t leave people without heat, water, lights, etc. PPE and plenty of hand washing, and stay as far away as possible from everyone. I go from being nervous to , ah f%^k it, on a regular basis.

I've accepted that there's not going to be a significant change in the numbers of positive PCR cases until April/May next year so I've greatly improved my working from home setup, no more kitchen table or breakfast bar, no more camper dinette.

I also wheelbarrowed 4 tonnes of hardcore into the back garden last week to fill a hole I'd dug in preparation for laying a generous sized patio, in the corner of the garden that sees the last of the evening sun, in anticipation of social gatherings continuing to be outdoors and local.

It's getting there John. In between work, and running to and fro to a shed dodging showers between coats, I'm making progress. I'm finishing with rust-oleum painter's touch satin spray paint heirloom white. The finished job looks fine but i don't think it will durable to scuffs. I'll just finish off as is and if i find chipping or wearing ill look in to spraying a clear coat.

I'm removing cabinet doors in sections. 24 hours later their back in place looking a lot whiter.

Is everyone else's under sink as messy as mine?

If you can manage to find the kitchen sink John, look beneath. You should see 2 handles. These are actually doors. Inside you should expect to see some cleaning products.

@ The Rambler .... I painted my cabinets 3 years ago. They were new units but Matt finish. I had some spare pearl tint left from a job and gave them a blow over finished by 2 coats of Clearcoat. You only see the pearl in certain light conditions...
